VFW National Commander Delivers Blunt Message to Congress
(Story Below)
Although, cuts in veterans benefits impacts veterans and their families, in the long run, they impact
all of America. (Think about it.)
America will always need brave men and women, who are willing to honorably serve in
our military. If United States politicians continue to expect a strong volunteer military,
they can't cut the benefits of veterans. As tens-of-thousands, young veterans get added to the Veterans Affairs
System and VA funding remains almost the same after inflation, the Math should be simple. Programs get cut. VA Hospitals, OutReach Centers and Clinics close... (Even parking becomes
more of a problem.)
These are all considered benefits. The VA hospital at Montrose New York that I have been using
for ten years is closing down as In-patient. This is after, the VA spent millions on renovations just a couple of years
ago. A number of great programs are going and are not being picked up by local VA hospitals.
America's current, brave and honorable military men and women are tomorrow's
veterans. Please write or call your politicians. Your children and their children's
future is important today.
Jack Cunningham
Not everyone can serve in America's Military. However, everyone can care for those, who are willing
to serve honorably...
Please write or call your politicians.
These are the latest VFW State Service Officers. They are VFW
employees, who help veterans obtain their Veteran Benefits from the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Call your state VFW Representative. Find out what your benefits are.
Please pass on to one of the newer veterans
or the older veterans...

National Commander Delivers Blunt Message to Congress
The commander-in-chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. called on Congress today to
fix the veterans' health care shortfalls in the President's fiscal year 2006 budget. Click here for full testimony. Action Corps Legislative Alert President Bush recently released his VA budget request for
next year. The proposal is completely unacceptable. It provides just four-tenths of one percent increase in veterans health
care funding at a time when thousands of young men and women are returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. What can you do to fight
this battle? Click here to find out.

Corporate Partnership: Pfizer Donates $50,000 for Phone Cards
Pfizer representatives recently visited the VFW National Headquarters to present a $50,000
donation to buy phone cards for the veterans organization's Operation Uplink program. Since Operation Uplink was launched
in 1996, more than 7 million phone cards have been distributed to the nation's activity-duty force and hospitalized veterans.
Picture: Pfizer representatives Jim Wood and John Ogden present Assistant
Adjutant General Larry LeFebvre with a $50,000 donation for Operation Uplink. Also attending was Carlos Escobar, VISN 15.

Veteran
Services: Service Officers Help Veterans
at Walter Reed Army Medical Center As thousands of American troops return from Iraq,
Afghanistan and other areas, VFW not only understands the serious transition of returning from deployment, but is eager to
serve the needs of America's newest veterans. That's why every Wednesday, VFW Service Officer James Adams makes his scheduled
trip to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

VFW in the Community: Homeless Veterans 105-Year-Old Hero Boston's homeless veterans have an unlikely advocate in a WWI/WWII veteran who has experienced something
not many others have -- he has been alive for all six Boston Red Sox World Series titles. (It was 86 years between the fifth
victory, in 1918, and the sixth, in 2004.)

This is about how a tag-team of corrupt lawyers were able
to use an honorable Vietnam Vet's PTSD disability against him, when he tried to bring Legal Malpractices charges against
them. The only problem is that the evidence is clear against the corrupt lawyers. Please press the

Investigate New Jersey's Office of Attorney Ethics Vice-Chairman Robert Correale and his Law Firm
Due to this major Conflict of Interest within New Jersey's Office
of Attorney Ethics, the New Jersey Government should call for an investigation outside the Office of Attorney Ethics on their
Vice-Chairman Robert Correale, Esq. and his Law Firm .
Since I'm a disabled, PTSD Veteran, I requested
the Federal Department of Justice (DOJ) to please carry out this investigation due to this major Conflict of Interest in the
State of New Jersey, but the DOJ refused. The DOJ wrote that I had to have this resolved in New Jersey.
Since I felt that New Jersey didn't give me Equal Rights Of State Laws, I felt my civil rights were being violated under Statue
II of the Disability Act.

I found this great PTSD article on a military
base. It was in a FAMILY MAGAZINE for American troops.
PTSD does not only hit our military men
and women. It impacts a great number of Americans, who never left home...
Child abuse, elderly abuse, marital abuse,
street crime victims (rape), etc. are some of the biggest sufferers.
Understanding PTSD is a great way from keeping
it from passing down through generations.

A few years back, I wrote
to a good number of American Celebrities asking for support for American Hospitalized Veterans. Sadly, most did not
even return a response. However, those celebrities, who did send something back, more than made up for those, who
did not...
Recently, I came across pictures of two of the
American Celebrities who did, and I want to share their pictures with you. http://home.earthlink.net/~americans_who_lived_as_peasants/id20.html
