VERTONEN: "We had a few sprinkles today, but not enough to help out in the garden." CD now available!

After almost two years of work I am excited, nay, elated, to announce the release of the fifth full-length Vertonen CD, "We had a few sprinkles today, but not enough to help out in the garden." These recordings are the fruit of a two-year process of extracting and modifying material originally recorded in 1978. All resulting audio was solely generated from this source material. The concept behind this CD stemmed from my interest in reassessing the idea of "brainwashing" and how misperceptions that are easier to accept can easily and dangerously corrode--and, worse, override--the realities of the original event.
This is the fourth Vertonen recording to be supported by the Chicago CAAP grant program.
There also is a limited edition of 9 (of which 6 are already spoken for) that includes the following:
--an additional CDR of complementary audio
--a small booklet of text pertaining to the concepts and processes behind the release
--artwork connected to the source recordings
--artwork related to the source recordings
--and it's all housed in a wooden silkscreened box (which should be completed by October 9)
the regular edition is $10 ppd US, $15 rest of world
the limited edition is $30 ppd US: overseas, contact me first for shipping.

Important note for folks across the ocean...

When ordering from C.I.P. insurance/some sort of tracking method is mandatory for overseas orders (when available; the US postal service is amazingly inconsistent about what countries are "eligible" for insured packages and by what method of shipping I can actually insure things. Yes, it's odd to say the least.) I've had a few items become lost and the combination of lost goods and having to deal with the bureaucracy of the US Post Office is not good for any of us. The easiest way to deal with this is to order from the many fine overseas distributors which stock C.I.P. releases. This will more often than not save you a good amount in shipping charges and time. Distributors abroad include: Drone and Die Stadt in Germany; naninani in France; Molehill, NEdS, and Omega Point in Japan; and Second Layer in the UK. Please note: Some distributors only have e-mail addresses as far as I know; e-mail me and I'll send them your way. However, if these folks do not have the title for which you are looking, contact me and I'll get all shipping information organized.
Also, for folks up in Canada looking to save a couple dollars, I suggest finding your way to flesheatingants.com. Paypal: Yes, C.I.P. does accept paypal payments.

Please Note:
The only account to which you should make payments is endtime34@hotmail.com. Please note, part 2: add $1 for every $20 ordered, and please contact C.I.P. at vertonen@earthlink.net before you make any payments.
