Here is a panorama of seasons in the Western North Carolina
Mountains. This floral was painted en plein air on the Blue Ridge during the spectacular bloom season in June. It
is called Craggy Gardens Cawtawba (Oil, 8 x 10 in.)
Although I am an admirer of other artist's
winter paintings, I never imagined I would endure the cold to paint in the snow. This scene, however, is right outside
my door, and we had several lovely deep snows this winter. This is 'Cabin in Winter' (Oil, 9 x 12 in.)
'Patchwork
Mountain' (Oil, 11 x 14 in.) is a view of Mt. Balsam just off the Blue Ridge in autumn.
