About Me

Welcome!

You've never heard of me.  And we'll probably never meet.  I am an ordinary man.  The challenges in my life have been no greater than anyone else's.  But many times, I have had help with those challenges.  And I believe that such help must be passed on.  Since I don't have a lot of money, I must find other ways to try and pass on help.  And so, here we are.  You and I.

For some time, it has been a dream of mine to establish a web site which offered a ray of hope -- a beacon of light in the darkness -- to those who are going through difficult periods in their lives, or who just need a little extra something to make it through the day, and to encourage others to do the same.  The Beacon Awards site was the first step in that direction.  The site you are viewing now is the next step.

The pages of this site contain my own musings on life's challenges, as well as those of others, as well as some lighter moments.  Excellent stories often come to me through email.  I have used the best of these that I legally could.  I am actively looking for positive, inspirational stories to add to this site.  Perhaps yours?

This site is not a profit-making venture.  Commercial advertisements appear on this site only in exchange for services.  I do not, and will not, accept donations.  There is no guest book to sign.  That's not what this site is all about.

If you have been helped, or encouraged, or had a light moment in your day because of this site, then I have succeeded in my objective.  I ask only one thing of you in return.

Do something today to make someone else's day a little brighter.
