About Me
Another Cancer Story

Bernard Howe is a man who shared his cancer story with me after reading my own.

His particular scare had to do with prostate cancer, a special concern for men.  He has now devoted a web site to his story, with the hope of making some men and their wives feel better about things.  Here are a few excerpts from Bernard's story:

"I had a few friends in the past 4 or 5 years die from prostate cancer and that was all I could think of.  My father and his brothers all had it BAD but they survived it.  Every one of them had the worst case and went through hell with theirs, and one of Dad's brothers did finally die of his."

"Now here it is my 1-year check up and I feel GREAT.  Things are working fine and I am still a little weaker than I used to be but I am getting back to where I was quickly.  This does make me slow down and think about life more, and to keep taking care of myself.  I think this whole experience has given me a whole new outlook on life and our mortality."

"... And men, remember to share everything and don't try to hide anything from your wife; they suffer mentally just as much or maybe more so then we do.  They share our lives with us; I KNOW this now."
