Criteria -- Have You Built An Internet Beacon?

Building a true Internet Beacon does not happen without a considerable amount of effort.  There are no quick and easy shortcuts.

Before one can begin such a task, as with any building project, a building permit must be obtained.  Once that has been accomplished, the foundation for the building (a lighthouse, of course) must be laid.  The bricks and mortar must be carefully laid on the foundation.  The interior work must not interfere with the overall function and intent of the lighthouse.  The outside of the lighthouse must be painted and proper markings applied.  The wiring and lamp must be installed and tested, and the lens properly adjusted.  And sometimes, for good measure, an extra-bright lamp is installed so that the beacon of light might reach out as far as possible.

As I evaluate your site, I will step through each phase -- building permit, foundation, construction, wiring and lens adjustment, interior work, and painting and marking.  Finally, I will see if you have installed an extra-bright lamp.  I will spend a good deal of time evaluating your site.

In return for my time, I ask that you walk through the Inspection Procedure step-by-step to see if you have built a true Internet Beacon. You'll be glad you did!
