The requirements for State membership are as follows:

STATE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants for State Web Site Status must agree to the following:

Any and all use of the National USAC/RS Logo is restricted to Official Information from USAC/RS (by directive of the National Office) (US SITES).
Under No circumstances is a member site permitted to use the National Logo as a Background Graphic, (by directive of the National Office). (US SITES)

A Logo will be designed for you, and that logo must be displayed by the applicant Somewhere on their Site, in a place where the RS Web user will see it immediately upon their browser loading the page that the RS Web links to, Preferably at the Top of the "linked" page.
The logo may only be used with the provision that the words "Copyright VCT 1997" appear directly underneath it on each and every occurence of the logo.
While we would prefer having the Logo displayed on the homepage of State Sites, it is NOT a requirement.
(Please Note): When the logo is created, in order to get the logo to show up as an oblong item, and not enclosed in a white "box", it is necessary to make the gif Transparent.
This makes the embossed parts of the text Also transparent, and color backgrounds will show through. In this case the site should use the "door" method to display their State Site status, as discussed below.
One Idea would be to create a seperate "Door" to the RS Web, with the logo at the top of the page, and have that link to your homepage. Since Official RS Web State sites have to use the Silver colored Logo, creation of a different color cannot be done, to allow blending in with any background color that may be in use. Creation of the "doorway" page will allow a white or gray background to be used without changing the appearance of the normal site homepage.
The page location where the Logo is displayed will be the URL as far as the RS Web is concerned.

The decision to place any Advertising on the Web, or to handle any such advertising, is the sole decision of the Individual Site Owner(s).

A link to the Roller Skating Web Network must be provided, again, Somewhere on the site.

PLEASE NOTE: A link to the National USAC/RS Roller Skating site must also be provided.
This is to maintain a uniform support of the USAC across the entire RS Web System.

In the event that a State Site leaves the web for any reason, all Regional, State & Associate sites must agree to remove links to those sites as REGIONAL WEB SITES only. Links to them as standard skating sites is at the discretion of the Individuals.

ANY site, RS Web member or Not, MAY link to any information on this Eastern Region site, so as not to have to maintain a page on their own site that would take up precious space, and would duplicate info already listed on one of the Member sites.
Sites Other than this Eastern Regional sites will decide what they may wish to let be copied and used.

The above agreements are to insure an orderly operation of this RS Web, and as such, agreement with all items listed is necessary for membership, and are ALL that is required of a member.
Outside of the listed requirements, we wish No control over individual sites of any kind, Though we WILL help out any site, But ONLY upon request.
ANY site is welcome to use any graphic on this Eastern Regional Site, EXCEPT that no site may use the Copyrighted Logo without permission of VCT. The above agreements are to insure an orderly operation of this RS Web, and as such, agreement with all items listed is necessary for membership.
