SoCal Jam II (or was it III?)

Photos now online!

The Friday Night Pork Extravaganza

The chef at work

Mmmmmm, Pulled Pork!

in its pre-pulled state, as well

Cory (aka Os) relaxes with a Corona while explaining how he's going to throw out his back to get a week off from work.

The Jam

Part 1: The Gear

Cory's rig. Hey, isn't that cabinet a little small for that thing?

George's Corner (except for Surfdude's white Strat leaning against the AX2). Surprisingly enough, nobody fired up the BF Deluxe all day!

Rev. Joe, John Ou and GVW chewing the fat and the pizza while posing provocatively in front of John's Dual Recto setup (with his Anderson Cobra jutting from the side of his head) and Joe's VHT Pitbull with 2x12 cab. I think I was making some sort of point, but John and Joe both look doubtful.

Interestingly enough, much of the cool gear seems to have been camera shy. No pics of the Guytron, Top Hat, or HiWatt have yet surfaced. Not to mention BigDave's Peavey Classic setup, Paul's Twin Reissue, and just about everyone else's rig.

Part 2: The People

L-R: Allen Collins, Bill Lockton (Surfdude), Dave (aka Bigdave and whose last name, I apologize, I don't remember), and Jim Chessnut (aka JimiC)

L-R: GVW, Surfdude, and BigDave

Dave, Jim, and Mike Mirkovich (aka MikeMirk) in a Strata-vaganza

Vince Motel, Dave, and Mike Elliott (aka Fretwired) soaking up the ambience

Surfdude and Drew Woerner arguing about who's thirstier

My buddy Jim Mitchell with his new Tobias 5 string and PJ Labinski (hey, there's Vince's HiWatt hiding in the background!)

John Martin showing the strain of too much shredding following too much BBQ.

Brian (I think. I wasn't taking notes and met a whole bunch of people) and John. Ibanez and Schecter seemed to be the choice in the Shred Room.

Blaine Laumbach and Brian. Blaine is busy proving that old guys can still rock.

Cory's friend Mike (if memory serves, see above disclaimer) and the electronic kit of the sole drummer brave enough to show up.

Reverend Joe preaching the Gospel while John Ou looks on.

Well, that's it folks. There's still some film to be developed, and I'm dying to see the video that Surfdude shot. If you've got shots, either scan 'em and email 'em, or send me prints and I'll scan 'em.
