How to play Hex

To make a move, point the cursor to an empty hexagon and either click the left
mouse button or press ENTER or SPACE. Red and Blue moves will alternate.

If Hexy is On (see the Hexy menu item), She will automatically respond to
every move you make. The horizontal bar above the board informs you when Hexy
is thinking. The best move She has found so far will be flashing.

If it takes boringly long time for Hexy to make a decision and move, you
can interrupt Her by pressing any key. In this case She will immediately
make the best move currently in Her mind.

If you are not sure where to move, you can ask Hexy for advice by clicking the
Hint button on the menu bar or pressing 'H'.

You can look at the history of the game and navigate through it with the ARROW UP
and the ARROW DOWN navigation keys. You can change this history at any point by
changing one of the moves. In this case the old path of the future will be lost
and the new one will be created.

Please remember that if Hexy is On, She responds to every your
move. By making a move you provoke Hexy's response at any time.

If you want Hexy to move first, click the Move button on the menu bar or press
'M'.

Though it is against the rules, you can switch sides with Hexy at any time
by clicking the Move button on the menu bar or pressing 'M'. It will force
Hexy to move.

If you click on the Demo menu button or press 'D', Hexy will start playing
with Herself. Enjoy watching.

If the Swap Rule is On (see the Swap Rule menu item), then you can swap by
clicking the Swap button on the menu bar.
