Biography



Valarie Milazzo is a Soprano Soloist of Classical, Operatic and Sacred repertoire.  

As a member of Naples' Bach Ensemble since 2006, Ms. Milazzo has performed soprano solos in Handel's Messiah and Dixit Dominus, and in Britten's Ceremony of Carols. The Bach Ensemble is an auditioned 40-voice chorus, which performs masterworks of the Baroque era with full orchestra, in authentic style.

Ms. Milazzo has participated in several concerts of the Naples Opera Society, performing art songs, opera arias and holiday favorites. Ms. Milazzo also joined Dr. Ronald Bowman and Janet Ortenzo, two of Southwest Florida's favorite vocalists, in a recital at the Bower Chapel.

In Atlanta, Ms. Milazzo presented solo recitals featuring Schubert's The Shepherd on the Rock, Barber's Knoxville Summer of l915, and Schumann's Frauenlieben und Leben. Her opera roles for the Peachtree Christian Church Concert Series in Atlanta include "Mother" in Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors, and "Lucy" in Menotti's The Telephone. Ms. Milazzo was a featured soloist with the Michael O'Neal Summer Singers in 2006. With the Summer Singers of Atlanta, conducted by Dr. William O. Baker, she was a soloist in the performance of Mozart's Requiem in 2007 and the premiere performance of K'dushah by William Dreyfoos in 2008.

Formerly a private piano and voice teacher in Atlanta, Ms. Milazzo operated a large studio with a national award-winning Junior Music Club.  She continues her support of music education by chairing the Bach Festival for Lee and Collier County Florida youth.

Ms. Milazzo regularly serves as a Cantor at St. Ann Catholic Church in downtown Naples. She serves on the Board of the Naples Opera Society and is Treasurer on the Board for The Bach Ensemble.

Valarie has a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance along with a Master of Business Administration degree from Emory University's Executive Program. She has eighteen years of management experience in the Financial Services, Consulting and Higher Education industries. Ms. Milazzo and her husband Ben, a business owner and avid golfer, have enjoyed dividing their time between Naples and Atlanta since 2006.
