The hesed-l list is a discussion list devoted to discussion
of issues of inclusiveness with respect to ordination of lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgendered persons as officers and ministers
in the Presbyterian Church (USA). It is devoted to discussion
of both theology and polity related to GLBT ordination as well
as to general discussion of related social justice issues in the
PC(USA). Members of other denominations facing the same or similar
issues are welcome. All list members are required to practice
forbearance toward differing viewpoints and free discussion is
encouraged. The list is primarily, however, a support group for
those currently being excluded and for those (largely ministers
and elders or deacons) seeking to remedy that exclusion.
