GETTING INTO GUITAR GROUPS

.
Students in fourth and fifth grade are eligible to join the non-auditioned beginning guitar group or audition for the advanced guitar group. Guitars will start in January after December break. These are the groups that will take over where chorus and bells left off. Guitars will be a more casual group that wears t-shirts and jeans for their uniforms rather than the black, white and vest that chorus/bells wears. Guitars will get the spring concert and hopefully a one day field trip in the spring. This trip is NOT DEFINITE yet and has NO approval from anyone at this time. Spring is a busy time at school with fields trip and many other things that happen after FCAT. Parents of guitar kids may not want to shell out more money for another trip at the end of the year. It is just my hope at this point that guitars can do a one-day spring trip. If the trip happens, it is ony for the advanced group.
