Responsibilities of the President:

Preparation and distribution of announcements and/or agendas for board and membership meetings (agenda of membership meeting to be delivered at least 15 days before the meeting)

Management of board and membership meetings
-
Oversight of SLAUUC (St Louis Area U. U. Council), CMWD (Central Mid West District), and UUA (Unitarian Universalist Association) ties
-
Maintenance of membership and friends directory (June)
-
Maintenance of UUA data (...; report new officers in May.)
-
Preparation and distribution of newsletter
-
Certification of a list of members eligible to vote at membership meetings (70 days before Annual Meeting, ca. March 1)
-
Support of Building Committee
-
Nomination by the Board of three members of Nominating Committee for the following year at the Annual Meeting
-
Support and organization of other committees as needed (e.g. Pot Luck, Library)
-
Regular contributions to the newsletter
-
Implementation of Board and Membership meeting decisions
-
Signing of official documents as authorized by the Board.
-
Approval of exceptions to receipt of minimum donation from voting members, with the President
-
Annual review of job descriptions
-
Other duties as needs arise.

Responsibilities of the Vice President

Planning and implementation of Sunday services.

Cancellation of services when necessary. An informal service will generally be held if the scheduled speaker cannot make it. An announcement will be made by email to the listserve and on the Fellowship's answering service.

Support of Sunday Service Committee (and other committees related to Sunday services as needed)
-
Authorization of payments to speakers (these guidelines may be useful: general honorarium to local speaker who is not member or friend), $50; minister: $300; additional travel expenses; freewill donations to the speaker's organization)
-
Support of long range planning committee
-
Support of the President and fulfillment of the President's responsibilities, if necessary
-
Contribution of information about Sunday services to newsletter
-
Other duties as needs arise.

Responsibilities of the Treasurer:

General maintenance of financial records (reconciliation of bank accounts, preparation of an annual report for the Annual Meeting, preparation of periodic pledge reports to members)

Deposit of contributions into bank accounts

Payment of obligations within the limitations of the budget for the year or as directed by the Board (e.g., payments to speakers, distributions to the Caring Committee, telephone bills)
-
Payment of SLAUUC (St Louis Area U. U. Council), CMWD (Central Mid West District), and UUA (Unitarian Universalist Association) dues, as required
-
Approval of exceptions to receipt of minimum donation from voting members, with the President
-
Preparation of a list of members eligible to vote at Membership Meetings (70 days before Annual Meeting, about March 1)

Distribution of membership list to UUA (February 1)
-
Supervision of the Budget Committee
-
Proposal of budget for coming year (January, before pledge activities)
-
Supervision of pledging activities (March)

Supervision of fundraising activities
-
Renewal of incorporation papers. (Date? January?)

Purchase of supplies
-
Distribution of keys
-
Contribution of news to the newsletter, as needed

Other duties as needs arise.

Maintenance of Policies and Procedures book

Execution of correspondence, as requested by President

Maintenance and distribution of "Invitation to Membership"

Development and distribution of "New Member Mailings"
-
Maintenance of directory listings (yellow pages, newspapers, etc.).

Support of Archives Committee
-
Contribution of news to the newsletter, as needed
-
Telephone monitoring
-
Other duties as needs arise.

Responsibilities of the Religious Education Director:

Development and/or selection of curriculum for youth religious education activities

Maintenance of policies related to the RE program
-
Support of Youth Religious Education Educators And Assistants Committee

Planning with Vice President for Sunday service intergenerational activities
-
Purchase of materials as needed for youth programs, within budget limits
-
Scheduling of child care worker for times when child care is required by the fellowship
-
Scheduling of major cleaning of nursery, and RE classroom areas, at least twice a year
-
Support of high school and adult religious education groups
-
Contribution of religious education news to the newsletter regularly
-
Other duties as needs arise.
