I am an avid Trekkie and sci-fi afficionado. In my travels I have found some friends who share my hobbies. Among them are
costumers like Bob Bean AKA Vader Painter. I have seen Bob in his Vader armor, and it is most impressive, Palpatine has taught
him much. Take a look at his available services in link number one. If you also wish to have an awesome Vader armor costume,
you won't be disappointed in his workmanship. On Bob's site you'll find a list of his services, as well as links to other
Star Wars Armorers, costumers, and prop makers as well, have fun, his site is huge, like Bob himself. Click the planet Tattoine
below to discover the origins of Vader Painter.

Although I share Bob's enthusiasm for costuming, I do not possess his skill at fashioning them. For my habit of owning a growing
collection of costumes, I turned to the services of Katarra Kreations (formerly JK2 Costumers). They made for me an entire
set of Star Trek Original Series uniform shirts, boots and pants, and a Battlestar Galactica Colonial Warrior uniform. Unfortunately
they are no longer in business, but the costumes I do have from them are very nice. As I get pictures scanned of my costumes
I will post them on page 4 of this site. I do not know where you can get any "built" Star Trek costumes, however
from time to time Eugene Roddenberry offers costume patterns from all generations of Star Trek. Click on link two to visit
his site. You can always find a reputable tailor in your city, to build your costume for you, if are not handy with a sewing
machine.

Now if you have some costumes of your own, where do you go to show them off? Well there is of course Halloween, but rarely
do you find others as enthusiatic about Sci-Fi costumes on this day. Usually it's mostly ghouls and goblins, but there is
a place to show off your costumes, actually there are many places for this activity, but I refer the largest of these venues
on the East Coast. The Dragon*Con Sci-Fi Convention. It is huge! Somwhere on the order of 30 to 40 thousand attendees visit
each year. They run the gamit from Star Trek to Baylon 5. They have have gaming, both computer and RPG or war games. Actual
Science Fact, and the ever present dealers, selling everything from bongs to warpships. If you've never been to a Sci-Fi con
ever, this is the place to go. Look at their home page and see if it's something that fits your fancy also. I hope to attend
Dragon*Con on a regular basis, maybe I'll see you there?
