E. T. stars Dee Wallace-Stone as Mary, Henry Thomas as Elliot, Peter Coyote as Keys, Robert MacNaughton as Michael, Drew Barrymore as Gertie, K.C. Martel as Greg, Sean Frye as Steve, C. Thomas Howell as Tyler, Erika Eleniak as Pretty Girl, David M. E. T. is the hype and creation of Steven Spielberg in this release it is made more politically correct and is released primarily due to greed. When originally released, we were told to like it. This is the hype associated with all Spileberg films. The ads are dictating our taste. Those who fell for it made Spielberg wealthy. E. T. does not have a compelling story. It is very predictable, using cute kids to be more compelling than a very poor plot.
The film that is far superior to E. T., is Explorers. This film is what E. T. should be. Of course the Spielberg hype was missing when Explorers was released, so a lot of you did not see it. Rent it, buy it for your kids it's a great film.
