Welcome to the Mini Page.

So....., what's a Mini..?  Above pictures show Mini's racing in the mid 1960's.  What started as a micro-box economy car in 1959 quickly earned a spoken word reputation as an enthusiast's dream.  Ultra light weight, wide wheel stance, brilliant power train packaging and a compact, fully independent suspension design contributed to mind boggling handling characteristics.  Later upgrades to power-train and brakes gave us the Mini-Cooper and Mini-Cooper S.

Concept sketch drawn by the Mini's designer, Alec Issigonis. If the layout looks familiar it's because the majority of cars on the road today use the essence of this layout.  In 1959, no one did.  You're looking at the originator of the modern front drive car.
