Our Staff
Executive Director
The Center's Board of Directors appoints the Executive Director to manage the day-to-day functions of the Center.
The Director appoints and evaluates the eleven (11) staff members of the Center, including the Administrative
Services Manager, Thrift Shop Manager and the nine Transportation Program Drivers.
Director's Report - September'08

The Executive Director, Steve Hauck, has twenty years of experience in nonprofit management, holds a Master's Degree
in Management from Southern Oregon University and has served as the Executive Director since November, 2003.
Administrative Services Manager

Administrative Services
Manager, Samanthy Eyman, is responsible for the all the duties of the Administrative Services office. These include administration
of the Volunteer Program, Emergency Services and scheduling and dispatching our
transportation program drivers, as well as posting primary financial data for our accounting records and answering inquiries and obtaining information for the general public. Samanthy has
been with the URCC since May, 2001.
Thrift Shop Manager

Thrift Shop Manager, Tyler Hulsey, has been managing
the Store since April 2006. The Thrift Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including
planning advertising campaigns and sales promotions,
train personnel, control inventories, draft budgets, and recommend, establish, and implement store procedures and policies. The Manager also plans store layouts and designs displays, decides selling strategies,
and represents the store to donors.

Our Programs
The Community Center
provides short term emergency assistance with food, utilities, rent, transportation, prescriptions, clothing and household
items. We also serve as a resource for disaster preparedness and is a designated shelter and food site for Jackson County.
The URCC is also a
referral agency to help provide needed services for our community.
URCC ACCESS PANTRY
Every Thursday –
Noon to 2:00 PM
If you are in need of food assistance or know someone who is, be sure
to let them know of this resource.
MEDICAL SUPPLIES
We have a few medical
supplies/ items available for loan for free as long as they are needed. Items on hand may include bedside toilets, crutches,
canes, and walkers. Call URCC at 878-2702 for more info.
The Upper Rogue Community
Center sponsors various activities such as an after school program, summer day camp, educational field trips, an annual spring
children’s parade, dances and other activities provided by local volunteers.
These programs are
made possible by the generous support of the Pacific Power Foundation, PGE Foundation, Chaney Family Foundation, Cow Creek
Umpqua Indian Foundation, US Bank Foundation, and the Walker Fund.
Various local organizations,
such as 4-H, Drama Club, and the Good News Club, use the Center for their meetings and events.
URCC After-School
Program
September' 2009 to June' 2010
Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm TO 6:00 pm
Wednesdays, 2:00 pm TO 6:00 pm
PRICE: Part time 1-3 days $40.00/month
Full time 4-5 days $80.00/month
They will have a snack,
recess, homework time and free time or arts and crafts. There will be one field
trip per month. For enrollment or other information, call Trish Hurley at 830-6246.
URCC Summer Day Camp Program
July - August 2009
Monday thru Fridays
9:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Ages - Kindergarten through 6th Grade
$15.00 per week for 1st child
$10.00 per week for each additional child in household
(Scholarships will be available)

Upper Rogue 4-H Club
The 4-H
program is looking for volunteers to help with several project areas, including leatherwork, woodwork, dressmaking, quilting,
beekeeping, gardening, cooking and other areas. Contact Mrs. Thompson at 878-2828
for more information.
The
Club is also looking for all types of craft kits, supplies for projects and cooking ingredients.
Finally,
monetary donations are also welcome and can be made at any Premier West Bank, payable to “Upper Rogue 4 H Club" or they can be dropped off at the Community Center.
GIRL SCOUTS AT URCC
The local Girl Scouts are meeting at the Community Center every Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 5:00
pm.

Adult activity day
is every Wednesday beginning at 10:00 am and lunch is provided at no cost, starting at 12 noon.
We also provide a
weekend Adult Activity field trip at least every other month. We take our riders
to local tourist, educational and recreational locations and provide much needed socialization.
Aerobic Class at the URCC
Every Monday and Thursday, 8:30 –
9:30 am
Low Impact/Moderate
Intensity class led by Cornell Hartford.
Flexible Payment options:
$25 per month for unlimited
classes
$40 per month includes
River Plaza Fitness membership
$40 for ten (10) classes
over two consecutive months or pay $5 per class
Hatha Yoga Class
Tuesdays - 6:30
pm to 8:00 pm
First class free, $7.00 per person thereafter

All you’ll need is a yoga mat and blanket. Bring a towel and pillow (optional) to increase comfort & support.
We will use chair yoga techniques to accommodate students with physical challenges.
Everyone is invited and we look forward to keeping it simple and having some fun.
Music Jam Session
Third Thursday of each month
7 pm to 10 pm
Come one come all. Bring an acoustic instrument, your voice or just come and listen, watch and have fun! Admission is by donation.
The Center sponsors
community dinners throughout the year, many in conjunction with other organizations.
Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are provided for the community at no charge.
The Center is also
used for community and public meetings, forums, workshops, and classes. Individuals,
clubs or organizations may rent the hall at reasonable rates for various occasions such as weddings, reunions or other events.
