Volume VII Number 1 (SY 1999-2000)
Seven cadet officer candidates (COCs) and 38 cadet non-commissioned officer candidates (CNCOCs) were recognized
last 18 0900H October 1999 at the Basic Sciences Lecture Room (BSLR), UP College of Medicine. Outgoing UPM Chancellor Perla
D. Santos-Ocampo graced the graduation and pinning of rank ceremony. Dr. Lourdes Abadingo, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs;
Dr. Isidro Sia, Vice Chancellor for Administration; Dr. Alejandro De Leon, Vice Chancellor Planning, and Development; Prof.
Lea Igaya, Dean of Students and other deans of colleges of the University also attended the activity.
The COCs Batch 08-A were declared full-fledged cadet officers with the rank of cadet second lieutenant.
C2Lt Patrick Louie Maglaya was given the Class Valedictorian Medal for his exemplary subject proficiency and military aptitude,
while C2Lt Limon Rodriguez was awarded the Leadership Medal.
