What is Unity?

These are the basic ideas about Unity.

1. God is absolute good, everywhere present.

2. Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within. Their very essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.

3. Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

4. Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God-Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

5. Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the truth that he or she knows.

Unity Church of Today

Embraces the following Core Values:

º We recognize and affirm the absolute Goodness of God. We honor and celebrate our oneness with God and with all creation.

º We share a loving atmosphere wherein all are encouraged to express and experience the peace and harmony of God within.

º We recognize and accept our responsibility to choose our thoughts, words, and actions.

Therefore, the Mission of Unity Church of Today is:

º To teach and demonstrate Truth in the light of modern day experience.

º To provide a supportive, nurturing environment for all who seek spiritual growth and unfoldment.

º To serve with unconditional love all who seek to be empowered and transformed through conscious oneness with God.
