Regular class attendance is expected. Attendance is defined as presence and participation in class discussions and activities. Absences are not classified as excused or unexcused. If a student is not in class, he or she is absent. While there will be no direct grade penalty for missing class, absences will indirectly affect the final grade because the student will miss lectures and class discussion of information that will be tested in exams and required in course assignments.
The grade for written assignments submitted late (after the due date) will be reduced by 10% per week. All assignments must be submitted to the course instructor in class. Faxes or emailed assignments will not be accepted.
No make-up examinations, extra credit or incomplete grades will be given.
Written work that is not original will receive the grade of F.
