Every so often, I get the Jeep out of the garage and drive it at least around the block. Right now, that is about as far as I trust it, considering the shape of the transmission. However, I have obtained a replacement and when the schedule and budget allows a swap out at a shop with some other repair work, I look very forward to that replacement. I don't think I will mind the bill too much.
Other than some lifter chatter on the even side of the 304, mechanically speaking, most everything else important at least functions. I have laid my hands on some chrome and other dress pieces, mostly on Ebay and have them in storage to install sometime.
