Ty Smith is the President and Managing Partner of Smith Executive Search, Inc. A Georgia native, Ty holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University, and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia, where he was elected senior class president, 1974. While in military service in Europe and the USA, Ty was a Captain and Functional Helicopter Test Pilot (UH-1 and OH-58).

With 23 years of Executive Search experience, Ty has been Vice President and Senior Partner in two major recruitment firms, where he has hired and trained other executive search consultants for the past 19 years. Recognized as an expert in his field, Ty has written numerous articles for the Dow Jones' National Business Employment Weekly and Atlanta Journal and Constitution jobs section, and has given Job Search Seminars to more than 3,000 people. He consults for major corporations and firms on hiring and retention practices, and his specialty is recruitment in the areas of tax, accounting/finance, human resources, and business development/sales management.
