The nature diary is a set of separate articles: the stories behind the pictures, explanations of behavior, and other observations. Not every picture has a story. I'll add to the diary gradually, adding links from individual pictures to articles and adding to this contents page.

Why do a diary? As a reader, I love stories about finding creatures, descriptions of behavior, and life history more than anything else.
