June 13, 2006: My apologies for not getting the updates completed as promised. I have updated Sam's bio and will have a couple of new quotes to add soon.
April 26, 2006: For anyone still out there reading - I will be updating the site this weekend to include details from Sam's return to The West Wing. Please check back then!
August 14, 2003: Obviously, Sam Seaborn has been put to rest, so I do not foresee any updates to this site. I will continue to leave it up for everyone to enjoy, though I will be dropping the samseaborn.com domain name. As long as you have the site bookmarked, you'll have no problem; however, typing in www.samseaborn.com will no longer forward to my earthlink space. So bookmark the main page, and be sure to check out Rob's new show premiering September 28th!
May 15, 2003: Sam was not mentioned in last night's season finale. The good news is that immediately after the show there was a promo for Rob Lowe's new series, The Lyon's Den, that will premiere in the fall, Sunday nights at 10:00pm on NBC.
May 8, 2003: I apologize I never updated last week. There was actually nothing to update, as Sam was not mentioned. Tonight's episode followed the usual pattern. Aaron Sorkin is leaving the series, so with new writers at the helm next year, perhaps we can hope for a mention of Sam in season five.
April 24, 2003: While there was a mention of Ainsley last night, once again there was no explanation of what happened in the election or where Sam is.
April 4, 2003: Just to keep you updated -- not a mention of Sam in the new episodes which aired March 26th and April 2nd. March 25, 2003: I don't know how often people are stopping by these days, but I wanted to let everyone know that the site will stay up for the foreseeable future. I will be continuing to watch the show, however painful it may be, through at least the end of the season. If there are any mentions of Sam, I'll note them on the site. I may put up new polls, and I'll be doing some revisions to the Must-See Sam page. And who knows what other inspiration I may get! So though the updates will be few and far between, the site will be here when you need a Sam Seaborn fix! ~Your webmaster
February 28, 2003: I hated to do it, but I finally made updates from Sam's final episode. There are updates on Sam's the Man, Quotes and Sam's Bio. Also, don't forget about the Farewell Page here.
February 21, 2003: Updates to the Sam's the Man, Quotes and Chivalry pages.
February 19, 2003: I've added a new feature to Sam's Bullpen that allows you to submit a farewell speech to Sam. FYI: I have now taken down the Save Sam page.
February 13, 2003: Two mentions of Sam in last night's episode -- miraculous! The quotes are on the Sam's the Man Page. Sam will actually appear in next week's episode, so don't miss it!
February 5, 2003: A beautiful new speech has been added to this page.
January 28, 2003: Update to the Save Sam page.
January 17, 2003: Obviously, with Sam not appearing in the last several episodes, there just are not updates to be made. I did add a short article to the Save Sam page. Here's hoping for some sort of closure to Sam's story!
December 12, 2002: If you saw Holy Night, you know that Sam was not in the episode. So unfortunately I have no updates to offer you. I did update a couple of things on the Save Sam page. Be prepared -- Sam will not be in the next two episodes, which air in January. (Repeats will air the next three weeks.)
December 3, 2002: A small update to the trivia page and an update to the Sam's the Man page.
December 2, 2002: Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday. I took a break from The West Wing, email and the web, so I'm still catching up. The polls are open again. Updates from the most recent episode should be up sometime tomorrow.

Dear Sam Fans,
One year ago today I launched Sam Seaborn Central! Thanks to all of you for stopping by, signing my guest book, participating in the polls, etc. It has been a fun project for me. I hope you have fun when you stop by. I never imagined when I started this site that a year later I would be involved in a campaign to save Sam. I haven't lost hope yet! If you are new here, you can check out all the details about saving Sam here. Rest assured that I will continue to update the site throughout this season and hopefully many seasons to come. But if Rob does leave the show, my plan is to keep the site up as a tribute to Sam. The season premiere is three weeks away. I'll be glad to have some real site updates then! Meanwhile, keep writing your letters and keep the faith!
Sincerely,
Your Friendly Webmaster
