Cut through the rhizome, using clean cutters and separate your plant. Depending on a size
of your orchid, you may want to make 2-3 or more divisions. To insure continued flowering in shortest time, each division
should have at least 4 pseudobulbs.

To keep your tools clean soak them for few minutes in a bleach
and water solution

Repotting an orchid
Fill bottom of a pot with potting
medium and wrap some around roots. Place your plant into pot and add more potting medium packing firmly so no air pockets
are left in the medium. The rhizome should be exposed, not covered.
You
should replace potting material every 2-3 years. Potting materials will spoil, which causes root-rot.
|

You may also just cut the front division, the newest growth from the plant, without
taking the whole plant out of the pot.
