BRIGADE MEMBERS HONOR GEN. SHERMAN AT CALVARY CEMETERY

About 20 Brigade members joined the members of the William T. Sherman/Billy Yank Camp #65 of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War at their annual Sherman Day Ceremony at the Sherman gravesite in Calvary Cemetery in north St. Louis on February 25, 2001. SUV Camp Commander and Brigade member Emmett Taylor hosted the ceremony, which included an address by noted local historian Rev. William B. Faherty, S.J., Professor Emeritus of History, Saint Louis University. Company M's Gun #1, manned largely by members of Company K, fired salutes, while infantrymen joined in a musket salute.
