FF7 & BEFORE CRISIS - CHARACTER NAMES ORIGINS
So, are you curious where I got the last names that I gave to the FF7 and Before Crisis Turks? Well, in some cases, I gave them first names and pushed their FF7 names to be their last names. I also added the numerological reductions of the full names (excluding nicknames) to see how well they matched up with the character. In most cases, I'd say the basic readings fit. .

	Weapon: Remote Robots Hometown: unknown	Daniel Reeve	55 / 10 / 1 (solitude)	I named him Daniel Reeve back in 2000 and it's hard after all that time to convert to Square's official name of Reeve Tuesti for him.
	Weapon: unknown Hometown: Wutai	Tseng Wulong	49 / 13 / 4 (discipline)	Last name "Wulong" is from the Tekken series character, Lei Wulong, who bears resemblance to Tseng of the Turks.
	Weapon: Electro-Mag Rod Hometown: Midgar plate	Reno Gryffin	74 / 11 / 2 (11-revelation) (2-peace)	His hair kind of reminded me of feathers commonly seen on mythology's Gryphon (Griffin) beast.
	Weapon: Fist Fighter Hometown: unknown	Rudolph Anderson (Rude)	76 / 13 / 4 (discipline)	Again, I saw that last name used in a fanfic quite some time ago, but I forget the author or story I saw it in.
	Weapon: Elemental Magic Hometown: Midgar slums	Elena Clarke	42 / 6 (service)	Last name came from song writer Vince Clarke because I dunno...it seemed to fit her.
	Weapon: n/a Hometown: unknown	Johnathan Shinra	70 / 7 (wisdom)	First name Johnathan...he just "looked" like a Johnathan and I even gave Rufus that as a middle name.
	Weapon: Mako gun Hometown: unknown	Albert Palmer	51 / 6 (service)	Someone I once knew had an uncle named Albert who supposedly resembled FF7's Palmer, so we both named him that.

	Weapon: Handgun Hometown: Midgar slums	Lené Clarke	41 / 5 (change)	Having Synesthesia, the letter L is yellow for me and it matched her hair. Since Square officially said she's Elena's older sister, using the same last name I chose for Elena kind of just had to be.
	Weapon: Electro-mag Rod Hometown: Midgar Plate	Rodney Carmichael (Rod)	82 / 10 / 1 (solitude)	Fandom and Doujinshi seem to agree a lot on calling him "Rod" because of his weapon. Last name Carmichael comes from a Motocross star, and since Rod is a motorcycle expert, it seemed fitting.
	Weapon: Shot Gun Hometown: Mideel	Samantha Forrester	75 / 12 / 3 (creativity)	Samantha comes from Gunshot Romance's name for the character. I chose the last name Forrester since she comes from Mideel, a heavily forested island.
	Weapon: Handgun x 2 Hometown: Midgar slums	Rafe Krause	42 / 6 (service)	I caved in and decided to use the name "Rafe" which is a name currently circulated on the 'net for him, even if just in small circles. Last name is derived from "Klaus" and modified to sound better.
	Weapon: Fist Fighter Hometown: Icicle Inn	Kira Terese	48 / 12 / 3 (creativity)	Kira popped into my mind as soon as I saw her. Gunshot Romance named her Cyr. So as a former viewer of Star Trek: Deep Space 9, I gave her a last name that rhymed with Major Kira Nerys' name.
	Weapon: Fist Fighter Hometown: Coasta del Sol	Damon Prince	58 / 13 / 4 (discipline)	Damon being Nomad spelled backwards has nothing to do with it. Again, it just "fit" him. As a Synesthete, I see D as brown and it fits him because of his hair. Last name was chosen because he seems authoritative.
	Weapon: Shuriken Hometown: unknown	Sonia Cissnei	55 / 10 / 1 (solitude)	In school, I knew someone with the name Sonia, and seeing the character just made it come back in mind. I'll accept Cissnei as either her first or last name because of Crisis Core, and for now I have it this way.
	Weapon: Katana Hometown: Gongaga	Adrian Lakota	44 / 8 (authority)	Gunshot Romance named him Adrian, and I liked it. The name means "Dark". Lakota is a Native American tribe name.
	Weapon: Knife Hometown: unknown	Josephine Senna (Jo)	64 /10 / 1 (solitude)	It's bugging me what black haired butt-kicking female character I thought of when I saw her, but some how it inspired the first name Jo. Last name comes from a great Formula 1 driver killed in a 1994 race.
	Weapon: Nunchaku Hometown: unknown	Luc Wellington	59 / 14 / 5 (change)	Sort of a play on "Duke of Wellington", and since his official bio lists him as coming from a filthy-rich family, the last name Wellington (meaning 'from the wealthy estate') also seemed fitting.
	Weapon: Chain Bombs Hometown: Junon	Horatio	n/a	Resembles a bad-ass version of the character Horatio Caine from CSI: Miami. Last name undecided since Square lists him as the "Legendary Turk", they MIGHT name him themselves.
