The Douglas/Elbert Task Force is a Colorado 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which provides emergency assistance through financial aid, clothing, household goods, and food to individuals and families in crisis. In 2006, the Task Forceprovided $633,656 in client assistance to 12,457 people; over 50% were children. The goal of the Task Force is to enable self-sufficiency, while still meeting the immediate needs of those in difficult circumstances.
