I cried again today,

But that’s just the way it’s going to be.

I cried again today,

Because you, my Puppy, were not here with me.

I’ll gladly pay this price of tears,

For the joy we shared through all those years,

For all those times you lay there at my feet,

Your pure, sweet love made my life complete.

For the times we snuggled close at night,

And the peaceful feeling that all was right.

For all the laughter and for all the smiles,

As we walked together those many miles.

For giving me your unconditional love,

A precious gift from God above.

I cried again today,

And so tomorrow shall it be.

Because you were not here with me.
