These pics were taken along the eastern shore of Kentucky Lake. Turkey Bay OHV Area extends right down to the lakeshore from Turkey Bay on the south almost all the way back to Hwy 68 on the north.

It is possible to drive along the gravel shoreline most, if not all, of the way from the southern end of Turkey Bay OHV to the northern end. This depends on the lake level, of course. Also, in places it may be necessary to go inland a little to get around a pile of driftwood or a fallen tree. Sometimes, too, there are big sections of the bank that have caved in, and the path is blocked. (Don't tell the tree huggers that there are actually some NATURAL causes of erosion, like the action of the waves hitting the shore, or the freezing and thawing of the soil on the steep banks near the shore... they think off road vehicles are the only cause of erosion. Must have been a lot of off roading going on for hundreds of thousands of years, and this explains where the soil came from that formed the Mississippi Delta).

The bridge in the background of some of these pictures is the Hwy 68 bridge over Kentucky Lake.
