My best friend in the whole world is my "granddog," Ross Allen. My daughter got him at the dog pound when he was an eight week old puppy, and Old Grandpa fell in love with him from Day One! I just kinda stole him from my daughter, and he became my dog.

He loves to go Jeepin' with me, and it would sure be hard to leave him behind (not that I would want to). He goes nuts when he sees me gathering up the stuff we usually take with us, like the small cooler and my digi camera. If I take something out to the Jeep and leave him in the house, he goes berserk and cries almost like a human baby. He runs from window to window, looking out to see if I am leaving without him.

Here are a few pics of him. They will enlarge to full size in a new window when you click on them.

Update 10/30/05:

It is with a broken heart that I inform the reader that this beautiful, intelligent, sensitive, and loving dog, who was my best friend in the whole world and my soul mate for ten years died on 9/19/05. I have cried every day since I lost him. I have created a website dedicated to his memory. The link is shown below.
