Tod's Antique Truck Fleet

Here are some pictures of my '66 Jeep Gladiator, '68 Chevy C20, '77 Jeep CJ7, and '01 Kawasaki KLR650. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger image. The larger images are VERY big (1024 or 1280 pixels wide) so make sure you REALLY want to see the picture before you click on it, especially if you use a dialup connection.

1966 Jeep Gladiator (top)

J3500 (5000GVW), Warner T18 Transmission, Spicer 20 Transfer Case, Dana 44 front & rear axles (the bad news: closed knuckle front and 2-piece rear axle shafts), 4.27:1 axle ratios, Rear Detroit Locker, Re-arched front springs and flipped shackle in the rear (both ends have extra 'salvage yard' leafs in the spring packs), Rancho RS5000 shocks and stabilizer, original 327 Vigilante V8. Shown here with the original rims, hubcaps, and "tiny" 29x8.50 15 Super Swampers.
Interior is stock except for Sun mini-tach. The wrinkly door panels are currently being restored and will be reinstalled with the proper vapor barrier this time.
Here it is wearing the 31x10.50 15s that normally live on the CJ7.
.
Okay, so I change wheels a lot. These 12-16.5s were on the truck from the mid 70s to around 1994 when braking and steering got a little too exciting. After a brake job and toe adjustment they seem okay again.

Update:
I sold the Gladiator in July 2005. Sorry to see it go, but it was one truck too many. The new owners seem to appreciate it so, hopefully, it will live on.

1968 Chevrolet C20 (top)

BEFORE - Former San Bernardino County work truck with Earl Shieb paint and 30+ years of abuse. 3/4 ton with "granny gear" muncie four-speed and 4.57 posi rear end.
AFTER - Touched up the bondo and painted with red oxide primer. 16 inch junk yard rims wrapped in LT235/85R16 BFG Commercial T/As.
Interior is still "OSHA Safety Orange."
In fact, SBDNO County painted the whole truck orange, including the wooden bed. That may be why the original wood still survives.
The original 307 died of natural causes, so much for matching numbers. This is a rusty, oily LM1 350 from a '75 Camaro.
NEW!
Four years in red oxide primer was enough. Rattle-can paint is better than none.

1977 Jeep CJ-7 (top)

258 I-6, T-18, Dana 20, Factory Trac-Loc and 4.09s in AMC 20 rear-end. Rancho 2 1/2 inch lift springs and RS5000 shocks.
The spare tire is actually one of the original rims from the Gladiator.
With the 12-16.5s from the Gladiator and the top sides rolled up.

2001 Kawasaki KLR650 (top)

Neither antique nor a truck.
