The Leonards of Lynn: A Case Study of the Integration of Outsiders Into a Puritan Community
Senior seminar paper, UCR. Based on Essex County, Massachusetts court records from the 17th century, the blending of a distinctly "non-Puritan" family of skilled ironworkers into a Puritan community is traced. This paper was published in the UCR History Department undergraduate journal Cornerstone.

Mythica University Studies in Ethnomusicology (MUSE)
This LIBR 240, Information Technology Tools and Applications final project is a Web site mascarading as a scholarly electronic journal. The content comes from an undergraduate paper of mine (any erudition is purely unintentional) and some of the "links" are purely ornamental. This link leads to an external site and should open in a new browser window. If it does not, you must use your browser's "back" button to find your way back here.

TV News: High Technology, Low Expectations
Written for LIBR 200, Information and Society, this is the most recent incarnation of a "pet peeve;" the dumbing down of television news. Television has great potential to inform, but instead TV news is filled with action and fluff. Is it the fault of the broadcasters or the audience? We have met the enemy and he is us.

Virtual Collection
This LIBR 228, Advanced Reference project is a virtual reference collection for a mythical university library. Links to external Web pages are arranged by academic discipline.

Words on Paper: Preserving Handwritten Manuscripts
This LIBR 259, Preservation Web guide examines several Online resources dedicated to the preservation and conservation of archival materials.
