Uniform Guidelines

CLASS A UNIFORM

BSA Regulation Scout shirt with proper patches on it
BSA Regulation Scout shorts or pants
BSA Regulation belt for pants or shorts
BSA Regulation socks
BSA Regulation hat
Troop Neckerchief (Eagle Scout or Woodbadge are also acceptable)

CLASS B UNIFORM

Dark green St. Andrew Troop #316 shirt
BSA Regulation Scout pants/shorts optional

REQUIRED ATTIRE FOR EVENTS

FOR REGULAR SCOUT MEETINGS:

Scoutmasters must be in full and correctly worn Class A uniforms (hat and neckerchief are optional)

Scouts at the rank of First Class and higher must be in full and correctly worn Class A uniforms (hat and neckerchief are optional)

Scouts at the rank of Scout up to Second Class must be in Scout shirt. If one desires to wear other parts of the Class A uniform, they must be correctly worn.


FOR ALL BOARDS OF REVIEW:

BSA Guidelines state that Scouts must be in full and complete Class A for all Boards of Review. Our Troop views this as outlined below:

Scouts of the rank of First Class and above must be in full and correctly worn Class A uniforms including the hat and neckerchief.

Scouts at the rank of Scout up to Second Class must be in Scout shirt. If one desires to wear other parts of the Class A uniform, they must be correctly worn.

PLEASE NOTE:

ANY SCOUT NOT PROPERLY ATTIRED FOR HIS BOARD OF REVIEW WILL BE DENIED HIS REVIEW AND WILL HAVE TO RE-SCHEDULE HIS BOARD OF REVIEW FOR ANOTHER TIME.

ANY LIFE SCOUT GOING THROUGH ANY BOARDS OF REVIEW OR PLAN PROPOSALS IN THE PROCESS OF ATTAINING HIS EAGLE RANK WHO IS NOT PROPERLY ATTIRED IN A COMPLETE AND CORRECTLY WORN CLASS A UNIFORM WILL BE TURNED AWAY AND WILL HAVE TO RE-SCHEDULE HIS MEETING. THIS IS NOT ONLY A TROOP GUIDELINE BUT ALSO A BSA GUIDELINE AS WELL.

FOR ALL COURTS OF HONOR:

Scoutmasters need to be in full and correctly worn Class A uniforms including hat and neckerchief

Scouts of the rank of First Class and above must be in full and correctly worn Class A uniforms including the hat and neckerchief.

Scouts at the rank of Scout up to Second Class – must be in Scout shirt. If one desires to wear other parts of the Class A uniform, they must be correctly worn.

FOR PHILMONT

All Scoutmasters and Scouts, regardless of rank, must be in full and correctly worn Class A uniforms upon arrival, at base camp, and on departure at Philmont. Absolutely no exceptions will be made.

FOR OTHER OFFICIAL SCOUTING EVENTS:

Class A uniforms are required during travel to camp-outs and activities. In other cases, the guidelines are up to the Scoutmaster
