Sunday - the "Extra" Day

Okay, technically our annual road trip was supposed to be over. After all, we'd headed up to Monterey, done our siteseeing, then made the long trip back and thence to bed.

But the next day, we get a call from our friends Gina and Jermaine, asking if we'd like to the beach to fly our kites...

Well, heck, we were tired, but we were up for that! After all, in spite of my "Fly a Kite Every Place We Stopped" plan, I hadn't actually gotten much flying in.

So back on the road we when - if only for forty-fifty miles this time - to "Bolsa Chica," a beach almost due south of us, where the wind is steady and strong nearly all the time...

...and where David was finally able to get his stunt kite flying...
