2008-23-08: Nix on Nightly>>>More
Liberty
Due to the waning daylight hours
[the last several holes/CTP were observed in darkness weeks ago] the HB guys are 'heading up river'.....to Cerritos' Liberty
Park, and its massive Lightstanchions, for a randon doubles....
....just to illuminate you....
2008-9-25: More Math
Members of the PPA pulled-out the 100-metre tape, and did measurements of new
[original] Hole #1, and the Penney Hole.
Hole #1 short is 217 feet.
The Penney Hole is 206 feet.

2008-22-15: Digging the Holes
After 6+ years of inactivity, dating back to the time when the City of LB stole a large portion
of Fairway #1, and in the process bludgeoned one of the Target receptacles, the original position is now
back in rotation!
Thanks to the efforts of the Plastic Pilots Association [PPA], the group of Volunteers
which cares for the Course, the original, badly damaged pin position was first located, then modified to safely and securely
accept a Basket. There are now a total of four pin positions for Hole #1!
This latest [original] pin is a must-Birdie for Open through Intermediate levels.
For Recreation-level players, this is now a possible-Birdie hole; their expected score is roughly .8>>>1.4
throws less than the other 3 positions.
2008-7-22: Aeych Bee
There is once again a weekly Tournament @ El Dorado!
[....despite having lights for every basket!]
Due to lack of Local volunteer interest, caused by a surfeit of Characters/Ingrates the likes Martin,
Lester, and Joel to revulse volunteer interest in faithfully running the scene,
the old Weeklie died in a Sea of ingration and bad feelings.*
Thankfully/foolishly/heroiclly, our Friends/Fools from Huntington Beach have stepped in, and a weekly,
18-Hole Tourney does again exist.
Beginning roughly 5:pm, or whenever inconsiderate latecomers allow, all Divisions/abilities are welcome!
* [both Martin and Joel both came up with the reflexive story that the other took the Acepool, for instance]
2008-6-01: New [old] Dates
The El Dorado Monthlie, which for roughly one year had been observed
on Sundays, due to the constraints of its Director, is now back to Saturdays, more specifically, the
4th Saturday of any given month. As a reminder to the mathmatically-challenged of you, this is NOT
necessarily the last Saturday of the month.
In fact, the El Dordo Monthlie is NEVER observed
on the 5th Saturday; that distinction falls to La Mirada.
.....to those who insist on perpetuating the Myth that the Eldo Monthlie is contested the last Saturday of the
month, you are an Idiot, and shame on you, you Idiot.....it's been explained to you MANY times why that's NOT the case; don't
pretend it hasn't.
