We will not serve this Jesus!

Why don't you just be honest and say
"We will not serve this Jesus"!! Reading from Luke Ch. 19
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Here our Lord and Savior is the Nobleman going into heaven to receive the kingdom of God. He has servants here on earth to whom he has given the riches of his kingdom. Breifly, the riches of the kingdom of God are the living revealed Word of God, which is the power of God unto salvation, resulting in life everlasting and love, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Of course we know that the riches of God are the true riches; far surpassing the riches of this earth. God has given, as it were, a pound of his riches to his servants here on earth. He has told them to occupy until he comes again as his servants. He is warning his servants here to handle these riches or pounds of money with wisdom. The servants of God handle these riches wisely by banking on them, living them out by faith in their own lives, preaching these Words of life faithfully unto the citizens of the land. God has said, "to whom much is given, much is required" and in that day when the Lord Jesus comes to give an account of his servants, he has said that he will take away even that which he has given to his servants who have been unfaithful with his riches and give to him who has the most and has been faithfull, even unto the end.

The purpose of our article here today; is to discover who these citizens are that exclaim, "We will not have this man to reign over us!"' Here in this parable there are two classes of people mentioned; the servants of the Lord and the citizens of the land. The servants are those who posses their masters riches and the citizens are those who do not. Certianly you know that God's ways remain the same throughout time. In the times of old, God sent prophets who possesed his riches, yet the citizens of the land hated them, treated them shamefully, beat them and some of them were killed. Later in time, God sent his Apostles, equipped with the riches of the kingdom and the citizens also treated them shamefully, beat them and killed some of them, just as they had treated the prophets before them. Today we are faced with circumstances simular, but much different; many have said we are living in the Laodicean church age and I do think this is correct. Let's read in Rev. 3:14-22 where this is reported:

14 ¶ And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

It is declared by the Spirit of God that we are living in an age where there is hardly anyone that posse these riches. We are a lukewarm people who are being counseled by God to sell out and buy the true riches, that we may posses spiritual clothing and spiritual eye ointment, that we may see. Yet the citizens of this land, who do not have the riches of the kingdom of God, are still saying, we will not have this man to rule over us!

Let me tell you, if you do not already know, I am a man who is instructed in the kingdom of God. The riches I have are not of this earth. I count my earthly existence nothing in the face of the true and living Words of life, that are able to save both yours and my soul and redeem our lives from destruction! As a servant of my master, the Lord Jesus, I am sent because I have been entrusted with his riches. When I speak, I speak as a servant of the master. The citizens of the land are not required to obey me, but to obey my master. When I speak his truth and the citizens of the land refuse to hear, they are in effect saying, "WE WILL NOT HAVE THIS MAN JESUS TO RULE OVER US!!"

The citizens of the land have many excuses why they should not obey the master or his servants. They say, his servants are not fair, why doesn't the master give me his money and I will handle it, why should I trade with his servants or regard the debts owed to them on the master's behalf! The citizens declare, we are just as important as the master, are not our riches just as valuable as his? Who are those loser servants he has chosen? The master does not have a clue, "He will not reign over us!"

O citizens! Listen up! The master of the land will return to slay you! You must turn and repent and listen to the words of his servants who bare his pounds.

Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Matthew 10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

O citizens, beware! When you reject a servant of the master, you are rejecting the master. When you recieve a servant of the enemy you are receiving the enemy as your master. If you have any confussion of who the servants of the master are, read the Bible! Carefully turn through the pages and see, hear and listen! Judge rightly between the liars and the servants. The liars are well trained in deciept. They use smooth words to deceive and draw away the heart of the weak, while the servants of God speak plainly the Words of truth. O citizens becareful to judge rightly, the master of the house will soon return with a rod of Iron to destroy the sinners out of the land!

O CITIZENS! MY MASTER WILL RULE OVER YOU!!
