  A National Monument for German Americans

The Hermann Monument, a 102 foot tall monument built in memory of an ancient Teutonic hero, Hermann of Cherusci, who is honored as the liberator of Germany and the father of Germanic independence.

The monument standing in Hermann Heights Park towers over the city of New Ulm and offers a spectacular view of the city and the Minnesota River Valley.
