Prineville 50/60 mile ride
This ride rides into Prineville from Reservoir road via Millican road. From Prineville It comes back up Hwy 27 along the Crooked River Gorge to Reservoir road. Miles 23 through 50 are part of the route done on the Cascade Bicycle Classic stage race in 2005. They came down the gorge to Prineville then back up the same route for the 4 mile climb out of the gorge. The gorge itself is a stunning view as shown in the photos below. Map of route is at the bottom. The route shown just below is a 50mile loop 1600 total ascent, 1000 of which comes as one 4 mile climb at average of 5%. There is an optional addition at the end which adds another 1000 ft descent then climb for a 60 mile ride.
