People take the presence of trees , and plants in general, in their world much too lightly. Isn’t it obvcious that without them none of us wouold have air to breathe? Don’t they understand that we exhale the gases, which the trees love and eat scumptiously. And the trees, in their turn, release our favorites back into the atmoshpere, creating air as they do, so we can sip at it and live. Without the trees, and the zillions of other plant people, we humans couldn’t live on this lovely planet.

Yet we continue to hurt them, cut them down without a thought as to how life will go on. They have cut down so many trees now that it’s rapidly affecting the environment. In another few generations, if we continue as we are, we won’t be here. We’ll use up the resounces of the planet to the point that it won’t sustain human life (to hell with everything else eh?) and, having space flight for sure, we’ll take off and go pollute another world or two, and the Earth can slowly regenerate and maybe there won’t be humans in the mix that time. Maybe we’d do better with the whales being in change – ya think??
