June Lake Loop
a few miles southwest of Mono Lake in the Eastern Sierras is the
necklace of small lakes along CA Hwy 158, "the June Lake Loop"

the lead photo for this album was recorded at the lovely Gull Lake close to the end of the June Lake Loop.  It is the sign above on Hwy 395 which indicates the north entry point onto Hwy 158, the Loop road.  The derelict house and outbuilding shown at right were landmarks near the road sign reflecting the long history of homesteading in the Eastern Sierra
