Okay. Here I am. I am still having money woes which curtail my 8-track collecting activities somewhat. I went to Austin, Texas May 7th-14th and got 28 8-tracks. Several people gave me or sold me 8-tracks at work in the past 5 months since I blogged last. I met a fellow 8-track collector in the flesh for the first time in 10 years of collecting. That was exciting. We could hardly stop talking. I mean I've never before met anyone who was anywhere near as interested in 8-tracks as I am, except online. Oddly we met at the funeral of a mutual friend who had just succumbed to a long battle with cancer. Perhaps her illness and death are another reason I haven't been keeping up with my blogging. Sometimes other aspects of life are more important, more real, than anything internet or 8-track related. It's sad , but true. Luckily now I can escape back into this excellent cyber space. I'll try to come up with a list of some of the gems of my past few months of collecting.
