So I got very depressed about money and I couldn't blog because I can't afford to buy any 8-tracks or the cart machines I want on ebay. I did get on the number one bus a few weeks ago and a friend of mine was sitting right across the aisle with a whole alligator-style carrying case full of 8-tracks for me. That was cool. The best one was Walter Carlos' - Switched on Bach II. My friend tells me that since the 8-track came out, Walter has had a sex change operation to become Wendy Carlos. Wendy wrote the soundtrack for A Clockwork Orange and she is afraid no one is going to remember anything about her music. Only that she had a sex change. I think she is wrong; her music is excellent. Too sad to comtinue. The museum is still falling down, and my cat Snoopy managed to puke all over four 8-tracks. Doesn't really matter - they're indestructable, but I don't even have the energy to clean them off. Sigh.
