- Awaken the Dreamer
- It has been said that an adult is a child with the dreams
beaten out of him. In light of that data the song speaks
for itself.
-
- How the Mighty Have Fallen
- Suppose we have been around for a long time. Suppose we
were once very, very powerful. This song supposes both.
-
- Human Emotion and Reaction
- Y'ever get an alarming response for which you were not
quite prepared? That was probably Human Emotion and
Reaction.
-
- The Only One Saving You Now
- I've got good news and bad news. The good news is you are
master of your own destiny. That is also the bad news.
-
- Homesick
- Who are we? Where do we come from? Why are we here? Where
are we going? This song does not answer these questions.
Only that wherever we come from, it is missed.
-
- Third Party Rag
- There are those who secretly promote conflict. 'They' are
the cause of much upset and ill will. This is a song
about 'them'.
-
- The Point of No Return
- It is said, "You cannot steal second base without
leaving first." This concept holds true for diving
into a pool, leaping from a plane, and the other
decisions in life.
-
- He'd Just as Soon Play the Banjo
- L. Ron Hubbard used to play the guitar and the banjo on
the radio. Many of the hobbies, projects, studies and
joys he held so dear, he forsook in order to create the
body of work for which he is most famous.
-
- My Friend Took Off Today
- Death is a part of life. We can only hope that when it
calls, our work is done and we then go to a better place.
It is not for me to say where my friend has gone, but I
am sure it is a better place, and that his work was
complete when he left.
-
- The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth
- ... and the Bold shall move on to Target Two. 'Nuff said.
-
- Heart as Big as Texas
- Once upon a time there was an adventurer, pilot,
explorer, filmmaker, author, musician, and so on, who
went very far out of his way to help his fellow man. This
is about L. Ron Hubbard.
-
Many friends helped to produce this recording, including
Margie Nelson, Kris Garrett, DeeDee DiCandia, Sheila Knight, and
Terry Williams on background vocals; Liana Corea-Romero, Eric
Zimmerman, and Terry Williams on piano and keyboards; and Sheila
Zimmerman on the flute. Merlin, the studio cat, is also thanked.
And thanks to the crew and staff of the Freewinds who had a part
in bringing this album from a wispy dream to a product.
Three of the songs on this album are about L. Ron Hubbard.
He inspired many others. It is for this reason that this
collection is dedicated to him.
