I thought I could do this. But one look in her terrified eyes-- and I *freaked*.
That's why I went charging in between her and the frog in my civvies. She was defenseless, unable to morph, but she still fought it. Trying to keep "civilians" from being hurt. She tried to warn me off-- but to me, *she* was the civilian.
Then she brought me near to the school to help me. A big risk-- but one that saved my life better than any hospital could. And I have to pay her back in betrayal.
Being a Ranger sucks sometimes.
