Organization Purposes

The Purposes of Friendship Force of Quad Cities are to:
 
1. Provide continuity of Friendship Force activities and of volunteer involvement.
 
2. Provide dissemination of information to club members and to interested persons in the community.
 
3. Provide an instrument for raising funds.
 
4. Recruit members and maintain an active membership file.
 
5. Provide an orderly means of assembling and retaining pertinent records for use in establishing and assisting Exchange Committees.

Our Mission

We believe that:
 
1.  Through the sharing of lifestyles, common concerns about the present and mutual dreams for the future, Friendship Force participants discover that the peoples of the world are more alike than they are different.
 
2.  By arranging for "Ambassadors" from one nation to be housed with "Hosts" from another, an environment is created in which lasting friendships can be established.
 
3.  All Friendship Force participants, through their willingness to explore and learn, can have a positive impact on the relationships nations have among themselves.
 
4. We intend to promote international and intercultural understanding between individual chapter members and individuals of other nations and cultures.
 
5. Our Heritage Help Fund assists members and potential members to become International and Domestic Ambassadors.
