The Education Committee is planning another First Amendment three-part series, highlighting the "or abridging the freedom of speech" clause.  University of Iowa Constitutional Law Professor, William Buss, will begin the series on September 24, 2009. On October 6, the second program will have two local American Government teachers speak on how they cover the free speech clause in their classrooms. On October 7, the third program will have four senior high school students reflecting on their free speech experiences as they relate to their schools and the wider public.
All programs will be at the Bettendorf Public Library from 7:00-8:45 p.m.
