Description:

Holly is a young slender ant with the shade of a medium blue tint. Eyes of a deep green, having almost a forest tint to them. A couple of freckles dot her hands and and about five or six on her facial area. She is a rather slender and attractive ant, aged in her mid to late 20's, but inwardly has perhaps less appealing attributes. Emotinally scarred by difficult times, as well as her own actions in her last colony, including the separation from her family, was brought to Ant Island as a slaver decoy to round up ants so as to protect her freedom. She has been discovered and has become a permenant resident of Ant Island to keep her from getting herself into trouble, and cause any more harm. She's still quite bitter about her situation, but maybe things can change.

History:

Holly's history is fairly well documented throughout my site, but I felt that a little recap was in order.

Her story begins with her family's terrible plight at Morning Dew colony. Tragedy struck the young family as her son fell to his death during the same time her husband became sick from some unknown illness. Her husband recovered, but Holly didn't. Her difficulties didn't end there either. After the accident, the young Queen of Morning Dew decided that it was best to have Holly's daughter placed under the care of another family until she felt that Holly was fit to parent again.

Then to make matters worse, many of the colonists felt that Holly's friendship with another ant was inappropriate, with her being married an all. So as a result of a lack of support of the colony and the queen, Holly left her colony in a fit of rage. She planned to return, but was captured by slavers with intend of selling off ants for profit. In a blind fit of rage, Holly betrayed her colony under the condition that her family would be spared. Her family members were the only ants whom supported her.

So, the deal was made, and Morning Dew was quickly eradicated, no one knowing the true reason why they were all sold into slavery. After the deal was made, Holly became made aware that her family was also sold into slavery (that the slavers had no intention of letting them go) and threatened Holly with the same result if she didn't begin working for them (An organization called the ASTO: Ant Slave Trade Organization).

She would become a 'pied piper'. A pied piper was an individual whom goes from colony to colony and brings out ants to be sold as slaves. Many of these ants chose young children, but Holly was still too devastated by the loss of her son to do so, so she decided upon teens and young adults, whom she felt were naïve enough to go along with it.

Her first colony was Ant Island-- her first victim, Basil Harvestwatcher. She felt that given the situation of being an outcast from his colony, she could more easily gain his trust by exaggerating and manipulating her similar story for herself. However, she found that Basil was harder and smarter to fool than she expected. Eventually she was able (out of desperation for her safety and freedom) to create a big enough lie to get his sympathy and his help, making claims of a found sister who needed immediate attention. The place being a agreed meeting point with a slaver stink bug named Percy.

As Basil and Holly left for the aforementioned location, another female ant named Willow Northtunnels was observant to this whole scenario, and with a feeling of concern, decided to follow the other two to be sure Holly's inconsistent words weren't a potential problem. Upon arriving at the designation, Holly handed Basil over to Percy, but not unobserved as Willow was privy to the whole situation.

Upon returning to Ant Island, Holly encountered Willow whom tells her she witnessed the whole event, and her intention of telling the colony. Due to an unfortunate accident, Willow was unable to keep up with Holly and to warn the colony in time to rescue Basil. However, with strong evidence on her side, Willow was able to prove Holly's treachery and fabricated lies to have her incarcerated on Ant Island. Eventually Holly served her time, but as the colony's residence became aware of her actions, nearly all treated her with disdain.

The latest we've seen in her situation was a particularly unpleasant punishment involving mud, and the less than sharp-witted Bushrod. The results were quite comical to say the least.

It will be a significant period of time before Holly will be trusted by any of the Ant Island colonists again.

Out-of-character History.

In the very beginning, Holly and I got along quite well. That was until her situation-- her history was discovered. Afterward, she turned very bitter against me, and at times attempted and succeeded in inflicting less than pleasant things upon me. Included was an attempt to pump several million volts through me by way of a recreation of a 'Young Frankenstein' set in my chamber.

She was intervened by Willow. Partially, perhaps because her IC (In Character) step brother was working with her to see my demise. Now, it should be noted that when we are OOC, we really can't be killed or badly hurt. So at the most, I would have been left temporarily charred and smoking.

Holly also went at odds with Willow, but on more of an intellectual level. Trying to justify her position on why she was treated unfairly.

Then there was the time she went into league with Enzo, my alt character, a mosquito. She found him for the most part too lazy, selfish and a little too dim-witted to work with. Then there was the time she felt she could deal with life better if she had her emotions totally removed, so in tinkering with my Pandora's Box (this I did to answer a question that Opal had for me- Opal being another puppet I work with) and zapped herself to remove her emotions.

Eventually she calmed down a little, but certain mannerisms she showed had me suspicious of something I seemed to have read somewhere. Holly, it turns out after a full medical examination was shown to have a chemical imbalance, and has been prescribed a special blend of herbs and such to help her out.

Now, I'd like to explain why this idea was followed. It's not too common that I use aspects of people I know in RL, but their situation was rather unexpected and I wanted to share that with both Holly and the readers of my site. The too have a chemical imbalance. The name I choose not to mention here, to protect the feelings of others, and the stereotypical opinion of this chemical imbalance.

Holly's response, as was the same results as the individuals I know experienced, was not an elimination of their emotional problems. They weren't whisked away to some place where pain and suffering doesn't exist. Rather, they simply found that they were better able to deal with the far swinging emotions they experienced.

Holly felt as they did, that they were themselves, but a more controlled selves. They could deal with life a little easier, for it's one thing to shed a few tears, or to have fits of anger at what others do. But at seemingly unrelated times, or finding it almost impossible to contain sobbing at a mere thought, is not a pleasant experience to say the least. Fits of uncontrolled anger can cause much pain and suffering.

Some might feel that such chemical imbalances aren't real, that it's all in the mind, or an excuse for certain behaviors, but I know others who have experienced before and after, and feel that they are better able to deal with things. Holly too has felt the same way.

Now, it's vital to seek medical advice first, to be sure the emotions are exaggerated or not. Not to mention the fact that you have to have a doctor's prescription to obtain such medicines. Holly on the other hand takes a mix of natural herbs, (being an ant and all) so the possibility of addiction is extremely low, in her case. Albeit that with human medicine, that if taken according to the doctors advice, addiction is very rare, if ever.

I would also like to state that I suggested this idea of Holly out of concern, rather than finding faults with her personality. The decision was hers to make, and is grateful that she did.

Because her imbalance was most likely caused by emotional trauma, her need for the medicine should be only short term, as opposed to others whom were born with these imbalances.

Holly's latest endeavor has been as s freelance, small claims lawyer. Her first case was in hopes of claiming that a certain muck player's unplanned addiction to caffeine, placed against the coffee industry. Yeah, okay. But I think that happened while she was trying to adjust to the effects of the medicine.

She was also involved in a case surrounding the alleged copywriting of a certain word. The case has since stagnated, so she mainly sticks to stuff like missing and stolen Aphid toys, missing root beer kegs and other such silly muck nonsense. She seems to enjoy her work thoroughly.
