Whether you have reached here by chance or design, welcome to the website of Tony Hoffman. I am creating these pages mostly to detail some of my interests. These include astronomy (I have been an amateur astronomer since 1973), writing (primarily poetry; I have had a number of poems published online and in print), and visual arts; I plan to add some other sections to the site in the near future. As a New Yorker, I have also felt moved to include a section on the events of September 11, 2001 and their aftermath, mostly a personal account of my experiences and perceptions in this extraordinary and terrible time in the life of my city and country.
