CATALOG
UPDATE - July 2006 - We are very low on Glotin-France
tube cane and until further notice we cannot honor orders larger than
the three dozen option per customer for all category 12 Items.
Without
reservation we include the new premium Argendonax bassoon cane, Item #11
through 11B1 in the Christlieb Catalog. The Cane link opens in the first
of two cane pages which now include the Argendonax, Glotin, and Donati
categories (Items 11-14B1).
Robin
Howell will share his expertise in Baroque instruments, bocal making,
and modern instrument voicing and tuning in the form of
master class seminars. He is sending out brochures to all woodwind educators
and we wish him well. Click on Robin's
photo and go directly to his web site.
For
those of you who order Christlieb Products partially shaped reed blanks
we direct you to the Christlieb Straight Shaping
tool now offered by Fox Products.
Contact Chip Owen at cowen@whitleynet.org. Specify your width requirement
in measurements Wide .395, Medium .385 or Narrow .379. Allow time for
your order because this is a custom made tool.

The
Federal Dial Indicator and Set up (Revised
Catalog Item 11), although available in both metric and inches, is just
easier to read and work with in inches. We hope you have enjoyed the Mitituyo
Dials that John Campbell has been making for us as well as the precision
adaptation of the matched brass caps
on the drilled and tapped 4-in-1 handles he has so expertly provided for
us. John is also credited with lending his machinist's skills to the task
of re-creating the Spiral Reamer ( Item 6B) when the gentleman who turned
them out on his Swiss lathe suddenly passed away.

We've
now enjoyed our thirty-second month online with minimal effort toward
advertising our presence. Online sales now comprise
more than 90% of our total reed, tool, music and book sales.
We
are updating our mailing list, and reaching out to the many reed makers
who prefer to order from the Christlieb Products online catalog.
Please inform your friends to be sure and log on
to www.christliebproducts.com to access our web site. Check status of
your browser if you have trouble logging on. The site and all the links
are working.
Thank
you for your continued support and encouragement in the perpetuation of
the Don Christlieb reed making legacy - TonyC
